Crop Swap Sydney
Organizer's other eventsOnce again we will be swapping at Moss House, an award-winning food garden in Denistone. This one of a kind permaculture property will open its gardens this International Permaculture Day from 10-4pm (Our swap will take place from 10-11am).
Join Moss House brainchild and Crop Swap Sydney member Margaret Mossakowska as she guides visitors through the garden, teaches mini workshops and shares her expansive knowledge. Her large suburban food garden features eleven raised vegetable beds (seven of which are self-watering), large composting bays and worm farms, a chicken forest, native stingless bees, insectary gardens and a habitat pond.
You will also see a wide variety of edible and medicinal herbs, annual vegetables grown using crop rotation systems, 30 fruit trees planted along water-holding swales together with perennial vegetables; a banana circle and native plant habitats. The produce is either eaten fresh or preserved in various ways for storage and pickles, chutneys, dried herbs and fermented foods fill the pantry.
This is a truly inspirational venue for all home gardeners.
