Midwinter Festival Crop Swap

Come to celebrate Midwinter, the time of harvest and rest, at the Moss House food garden in Denistone on Sunday, July 1st between 10am and 3pm. The garden has slowed down for winter, but still provides citrus fruit and perennial edible and medicinal roots to be harvested and swapped.

The day will start at 10 with a crop swapping session so bring your produce and preserves, and enjoy meeting other swappers. There will be also edible and medicinal plants propagated at Moss House available for swaps and if you would like a cutting of something interesting, then ask Margaret about it!

Feel like learning how to make a herbal soap from scratch? This will be demonstrated at the soap making workshop at noon. If you would like to take home a piece of soap in a mould, please bring $5 to cover the cost of the materials (limited to 15 people). To register for the workshop email info@mosshouse.com.au

A wood-fired stove will be going in the garden to cook a hearty vegan stew to keep us warm, but feel free to contribute something to share for lunch. Remember to bring your own cup, bowl and cutlery – this is a no-plastic event!
