Crop Swap Sydney
Organizer's other eventsVisit us at Pocket City Farms at Camperdown Commons for our monthly swap, then join the farm tour afterwards (bookings required). This one-of-a kind venue is situated in the grounds of the former bowling greens which have now been transformed into a 1200m2 market garden. These are accompanied by 180m2 of community food forest, a chicken coop, a greenhouse and a community composting program. The vegetable and herb crops, grown using organic and ecological methods, regularly make their way onto plates at on site restaurant, Acre, and into the homes of the local community via the farm stall. There really is no better venue or inspiration than this working ecological urban farm.
It’s hard to believe, but we often end up with surplus produce at the end of our events. In an effort to reduce food waste even further, and to put the fruits of your labour to good use, we have partnered with The Food Pantry in Marrickville for our Inner-West swaps. This organisation provides free fruit, vegetables and bread to those in need. There will be a dedicated box on the day that can be added to at any time.
Not sure what to bring? Checkout our past events here for some inspiration. Even if you don’t have anything growing at the moment come along and we guarantee you’ll leave with plenty of inspiration. If you can’t make it, join the group to swap anytime.
